Hand woven, indigo shibori dyed cotton scarf S_181
by Indian Artisan
$60.00 / Sold Out
This organic cotton hand woven cloth (known as Khadi) shows the flexibility of the artisans of the Kutch area of western India and their willingness to extend their repertoire of textile techniques. Here they have embraced the ancient Japanese technique of clamp shibori, where the cloth is folded and clamped between blocks of wood before dying. Natural indigo dye was used to colour this scarf.
This scarf measures 60 x 200cm and is a Fair Trade product.
As with all things made by hand, expect some inconsistencies as proof of the process.
