As warming as a cup of spiced chai, this wool and silk shawl was handwoven by artisans continuing the centuries-old hand weaving tradition of Maheshwar, a small town in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.
Maheshwar has been a centre of handloom weaving since the 5th century. The artisans receive fair pay for their work.
Measuring 76 x 198cm, this shawl features a combination of several weave textures and two different block prints as well as a subtle bronze metallic thread.
